About the Project
The 100m Future ("100m Zukunft") project is run by the IHK Berlin, which has launched it to find out what street space needs to be fit for the future and how it must change to meet tomorrow's challenges. The project's initialisation workshop took place at the IHK Berlin on 10 March 2025. The text is published by multiplicities.
Testing on Fasanenstrasse
- Innovative solutions for urban infrastructure on and around Fasanenstrasse are being tested together with the neighbourhood, science, companies, start-ups and civil society.
- The Ludwig-Erhard-Haus is to become a source of innovation through the "Fasanenstrasse" experimental space, a lively innovation laboratory bringing people, technology and the built environment together.
Aims of the Initiative
The IHK Berlin wants to keep actively shaping the city and to emphasise the future viability of companies through their location innovations. According to the text, a resilient, sustainable and economically strong city needs courage, cooperation and continuous testing in practice.
Why It Matters for Urban Development
The new format lets companies test their ideas directly in an urban environment. The text says its high visibility and close networking offer partnerships with innovators and dialogue with business, research, politics and administration.
