Koncern IT is Copenhagen Municipality’s central IT organisation, working to keep municipal services running and to support digitalisation across the city’s departments. Its stated purpose is to provide stable IT operations and solutions that free up resources and create value for Copenhagen residents. The organisation supports around 45,000 municipal IT users and is part of the municipality’s Finance Administration.214
Based at Borups Allé 177 in Copenhagen, Koncern IT works across the municipality rather than serving a single department. Its responsibilities include IT infrastructure and operations, advice on technology and procurement, and the planning, implementation and operation of shared digital systems and projects.213 The organisation’s director is Kristina Skovdal; the listed executive team also includes department heads Cecilie Wulff Juul Jørgensen, Mikkel Folmø, Ina Corydon and Jacob Honoré.2
Recent municipal work programmes point to several examples of its project activity. These include KK-GPT, a generative-AI platform launched in autumn 2024 for administrative work, with further development considered in 2025; cross-department work on AI and automation; and initiatives concerning shared data platforms, IT security and the future of municipal IT infrastructure.7115 These are projects within the municipality’s wider digital programme, not evidence that Koncern IT operates beyond Copenhagen.511
