Open Source Experience 2026 is a two-day Paris trade show and conference focused on open-source software and the role it can play in digital sovereignty and resilient public and business systems. Its sixth edition is scheduled for December 9–10 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Hall 5.2.27
The event is supported by the Systematic Paris-Region Open Source Hub and is aimed at IT decision-makers and CIOs in government, local authorities and companies, alongside software firms, integrators, researchers, associations, investors and students.23 The organisers expect more than 6,000 professionals from France and elsewhere in Europe.2
The 2026 theme is “Sovereignty, Resilience, Innovation.” The programme addresses digital sovereignty and open-source governance; cloud, infrastructure and platforms; open AI and data; cybersecurity; enterprise applications; and skills and open-source culture.2 These subjects connect technical choices—such as cloud architecture, software supply-chain security and interoperability—to questions of control, compliance and long-term resilience.
The format combines an exhibition with a conference programme. The official site lists 130 planned conferences and workshops, developed through a call for proposals with support from a programme committee, and anticipates 100 exhibitors.2 Visitors can encounter software publishers, integrators, SaaS platforms, consultants, training providers and associations.2 The event runs alongside DevOps REX at the same venue and dates.3
The first edition took place in 2021 at the Palais des Congrès de Paris, drawing 5,584 participants and 270 exhibitors across Open Source Experience and SIDO Paris, according to the event’s press archive.12 The 2026 edition therefore marks the event’s sixth year, while moving to Porte de Versailles.511
