GEO Business is a two-day trade exhibition and conference for people working across the geospatial sector. Its first edition took place in London in May 2014, drawing more than 1,600 attendees from 39 countries and featuring 118 exhibitors, a conference programme and 96 commercial workshops. The launch was organised with support from UK surveying and geospatial bodies, including the Survey Association, RICS, ICES and the Association for Geographic Information. 11
The 2027 event is scheduled for 23–24 June at ExCeL London. The audience includes professionals involved in collecting, storing, processing and delivering geospatial information, as well as surveyors, GIS specialists, planners and decision-makers. 236
The programme combines an exhibition, conference sessions, meetings and opportunities to see technology demonstrated. The official event page describes case studies on planning, operations and innovation, alongside discussions of developments in the field and products from geospatial brands. It lists more than 100 exhibitors and more than 160 sessions among its headline figures; the site also promotes CPD-accredited learning and hands-on demonstrations. 36
The event’s scope spans the wider geospatial ecosystem, with relevance to infrastructure, transport planning and asset management. Topics identified in event listings include surveying, mapping, GIS, remote sensing, digital twins and data-led infrastructure delivery. 4 Coverage of the inaugural show highlighted its role as a shared meeting point for the industry, noting the mix of technology displays, conference talks and practical workshops. 11
