Digital Tech Summit is a two-day expo designed to connect Denmark’s universities with industry and turn research into practical applications. Its stated annual scale is 4,000 leaders and specialists, 1,000 students, more than 50 exhibiting companies and seven universities, with knowledge-sharing, business development and networking at its core.2
The event grew from High Tech Summit, which began ten years ago as a DTU showcase. Professor Jan Madsen, who initiated it, says it has since become a platform shared by Denmark’s universities.6 The 2026 edition is scheduled for 4–5 November at Øksnehallen in Copenhagen.26
The programme is aimed at researchers, companies, students, decision-makers, startups and public-sector participants. Its three main themes are security and defence, industrial AI, and electronics—the hardware and infrastructure behind AI. Sessions also address AI and education, while a startup area focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship.36 The agenda includes around 100 keynotes, presentations, debates and startup pitches.6
Coverage by the engineering publication Ingeniøren highlights the breadth of the programme: more than 100 sessions across eight stages, spanning defence technology, AI, quantum computing and other subjects. It reports that the programme is assembled by Ingeniøren, the seven universities, university startup organisations and industry exhibitors.11 The format combines talks and debates with exhibition stands, startup showcases and opportunities to meet researchers and businesses.2611
