DigiGov Expo is a two-day event for people working in digital, data and technology across the UK public sector. Its stated purpose is to bring public bodies and technology providers together to share practical experience, examine emerging issues and explore solutions for public services. The 2027 edition is scheduled for 5–6 October at ExCeL London.14
GovNet Events organises the expo. The event draws on four earlier GovNet conferences—Government ICT, Cyber Security and Data Protection Summit, DigiGov and GovTech—which were brought together under one roof for the first edition in 2024. The predecessor events date back to 2004, 2011, 2014 and 2019 respectively; the expo itself is described as being in its fourth year.248
The intended audience includes digital, data and technology professionals from central and local government, NHS organisations, regulators, agencies and other public bodies. Suppliers also attend to present products and services to public-sector teams involved in planning, funding and delivering technology programmes.34
The 2027 programme is being developed, so a confirmed speaker list and detailed agenda are not yet available. The organiser describes six specialist theatres and highlights digital transformation, GovTech and cyber security; previous editions have also covered AI, citizen experience and digital foundations.179 The format combines conference sessions and case studies with an exhibition and networking. The organiser’s 2027 page lists more than 200 speakers, 150-plus solution providers and over 3,000 public-sector technology leaders as expected scale indicators.111
Coverage of the 2024 launch by London Office of Technology and Innovation emphasised the merger of the four established conferences, the opportunity for public-sector peers to share practice, and the event’s focus on practical challenges in service delivery.8
