ITS Estonia is an Estonian transport innovation network focused on intelligent transport systems, smart mobility and logistics. Coordinated by the Estonian ICT Cluster, it brings together actors from the public sector, private companies and the third sector around the use of modern ICT to improve transport efficiency, safety and sustainability.
The organisation’s work is rooted in cooperation rather than service delivery. Its stated goals are to provide a platform for collaboration between Estonia’s public and private sectors, collect and share knowledge on innovative ITS solutions and sector trends, support the export and development of Estonian ITS companies, and help launch pilot projects in Estonia and abroad. It is also an official member of The Network of National ITS Associations, which places it in a wider European and international mobility ecosystem.
ITS Estonia is based in Tallinn, Estonia. Its activity is national in scope, but its network position and project work give it a clear cross-border dimension. The organisation is active in international ITS networks and has recently communicated on projects and events linked to the ITS European Congress and the Central Baltic programme. Among its visible activities are dissemination of sector news, coordination of stakeholder cooperation, and support for experimentation in areas such as multimodal mobility and sustainable urban transport.
A notable feature of ITS Estonia is its role as a connector: it does not appear to run one flagship product, but rather to coordinate knowledge exchange and pilot initiatives across the sector. That makes it a small but important intermediary in Estonia’s transport digitalisation landscape.
